Kelly Rowland to release cosmetics line for women of color
While everyone was gushing and obsessed with Beyoncé and her bootylicious butt during the Destiny Child’s era (and still is today more than ever), I was completely mesmerized by Kelly Rowland and her radiant skin that always seem to never stop glowing, no matter what. If there was a picture next to the definition of melanin, Rowland’s picture would be right next to it.      Now, the Grammy Award winning singer and ex- Destiny Child’s member is set to create a new cosmetics line for ‘chocolate girls’ with her makeup artist, Sheika Daley. Rowland broke the news to Essence magazine on Monday.  "My makeup artist Sheika Daley and I are actually starting a makeup line we're making sure we make, well, we're starting off with lashes and then we're going to have it grow for all women," Kelly said. "But definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered. Gotta get the chocolate girls in there! We have to have that, you know. I think Iman has done a beautiful makeup line and I want to do it too!" Kelly Rowland While there isn’t a set launch date yet, or even a name to the cosmetics line either, Kelly is sure to make her line inclusive to all women of color – especially for brown girls, who are severely underrepresented in the world of beauty today, and we're excited to see what Kelly brings to the table for women of color and creating more diversity in the beauty industry. With all of her accomplishments, we are sure that Kelly will bring out a fab line and fulfill all of our beauty goals and destinies!
