Press “restart” to your life this spring season in 4 easy steps
After being trapped and dreary during the coldest and darkest season of all seasons, for many, looking forward to the spring season is essential because it brings new life and prosperity. So it’s the perfect time to restart your life and find more happiness and peace.
Tip 1: Declutter…………. Everything! From your closet to your relationships, clean them out! Throw out those old clothes and donate the clothes you don’t wear anymore. If there relationships in your life that aren’t working out, try to work on them. And if it gets to the point where there’s nothing you can do to fix it, you may want to drop it. Yes, it is hard to let go of relationships that were meaningful and had purpose, but sometimes things aren’t meant to be. This will help you become a stronger person, so don’t view it as an awful situation, view it more as a lesson you lived and learned from. The more clutter in your life, the more you are holding yourself back from giving your all in life.
Tip 2: Remember you cannot fix everything & it’s ok.It’s okay to leave things in the past and not be able to fix certain problems; this only proves that you are human! We all make mistakes! Dwelling on the past will only lead to “what if’s” and “why me’s.” So, let’s stray away from those situational questions and focus on what’s to come in the future. Who knows, maybe it wasn’t in your favor to fix things, but to just fix yourself.
Tip 3: Reach out to loved ones.Keep friends and family close. Reach out to the ones who kept you motivated and showed love. Keep contact with them, show your appreciation for them, and allow yourself to create a strong bond between you and your loved one(s).
Tip 4: Treat yourself!Give yourself a time and day where you reflect on the process of “restarting” your life and look at how far you’ve come. Reward yourself by doing fun and relaxing such as:
- Taking time to do your hair and makeup
- Going shopping
- Cleaning the house
- Take a walk to the park with someone you love
- Take yourself on a date
