5 Easy Exercises You Can Do at Work #TeamNoExcuses
Work hard, squat hard? When one envisions work, deadlines, conferences calls, and copious amounts of coffee spring to mind. However, work is the perfect place to squeeze in a few easy exercises and cardio routines. The best part about these routines? You don't even have to break a sweat. Walk the walk: If your meetings are a few blocks away from each other, ditch the urge to hitch a taxi and take a stroll. A five minute walk won't do you any harm, and if you keep at it, you'll routinely take longer walks.Stairway to success: Use your building's stairway instead of the elevator. If your phone call is taking more time than expected, try walking up and down the stairs a few times.Leg lifts: While sitting down, straighten your back. Raise your legs until they are parallel to the floor and hold them in this position for ten seconds. Slowly lower your legs back down to the ground. Repeat this as many times as you like.Sit to stay fit: If you have great body strength and some reading material by your side, then this one's for you. Stand with your back against the wall, and slide your body down until your body resembles a chair. Hold this position for a minute (or longer if you'd like).Fancy footwork: Have a few seconds of nothing to do? Are your legs cramping from being in a sitting position all day? Get on your feet and do a few calf raises. Stand up and press on the front of your feet as if you are on your tippy toes, then hold this position for three seconds and lower your feet back down. How do you balance your work life and exercising?
