Winter Guide to Smooth & Healthy Lips
It's the season of cold weather, snow, boots, coats, and holiday parties; but most of all it's the season for dry cracky lips. Our lips tend to suffer the most when the winter comes around. Everyone around you is pulling out the vaseline and their favorite lip balm. Meanwhile you're looking like a desert storm that ra pass your lips. It's frustrating because you can't wear you matte lip and most of all it's embarrassing. Well ladies & gents, I have 4 remedies that will take your frustrations away.
- Castor Oil: Castor oil is the healer of all oils in my opinion. It has the ability to do just about anything. All you need to do is apply a thin layer of castor oil on your lips for a maximum of 3 times a day. The oil will actually lift off all the dead skin that is laying on your lips. For maximum hydration and speed recovery, apply the oil on your lips at night. I guarantee you, your lips will be completely smooth in three days.
- Sugar Scrubs: Sugar scrubs are so much fun to do and yet tasty. Since the skin on our lips is very sensitive and thin, sugar is the best way to exfoliate chapped lips. Simply mix a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of honey, and scrub away. Make sure your scrub lightly, then wash it off with lukewarm water.
- Green Tea: I know you probably have a confused face on. Green tea can actually soothe the burning feeling you get when you're out in the cold weather. All you need to do is wet a green tea bag with warm water and apply it directly on your lips for a few minutes. Then voila, no more of that harsh winter burn.
- Glycerin: Glycerin is a natural moisturizer. It relieves the dry skin by sealing in the natural moisture. Simply apply the glycerin onto your lips at night. This way the tissues can repair faster and you'll be on your way to healthy and smooth lips.
